Lois Nase from the University of Maine will discuss types of U.S. patents and conditions for obtaining a patent, searching patent and other research databases and the patent application process. She will also cover trademarks and what symbols are used to signify a trademark, Maine state trademarks and U.S. trademarks, databases to search and the application process. Information on copyrights, information circulars and application forms will also be provided.
