Wild Roy's Kid Parade
Friday afternoon at 1 pm is Wild Roy's Kid Parade where kids can "wildly dress up" their pets, bikes, wagon, favorite stuffed animal and parade down through Main Street with Police Chief Roy (not Roy Rogers) acting as Grand Marshall. They will start by the Police Station and end up at the municipal parking lot.

Ofelia's Community Resource Center is contributing to Wild West Weekend and the Dexter Community by providing stuffed animals to children that will be participating in Wild Roy's Kid Parade on Friday August 5th anytime before the 1PM Parade.

The Stuffed Animal Box is located in front of our checkout desk and we hope to have it full by August 5th and able to provide stuffed animals to children who want to march in parade, but might have forgotten their stuffed animal or did not have one for that event.

P & L Horse Farm will be transporting the Grand Marshall, Chief Roy, through the parade by horse and cart.

Judges and Coordinators of Wild Roy's Kid Parade are Dave and Linda Clukey.
Participants will be judged in four catagories with 1st, 2nd and 3rd awarded in each.
The catagories are:

  • Best Western Theme
  • Most Creative
  • Best Decorated Stuffed Pet
  • Best Decorated Live Pet
