Meaghan is 16 years old and is about to enter her junior year at Bonny Eagle High School where she is an honor student and a member of the National Honor Society. Meaghan divides her time between her two passions; singing and horses. She has been a member of Pine Tree State Country Music Association for two years. She recently took first place in a competition for the title of Jr Modern Female Vocalist ages 13-17. A couple of steps up from placing 3rd last year. Meaghan is also a member of Downeast Country Music Association and is anxiously awaiting results from her first competition with them.
Meg has had the pleasure of singing at the Little Ossipee Valley fair for the past two years and has also opened the World of Horses show at the Cumberland County Fair for the past two years (here she combined BOTH loves as she rode in the show as well). She shows her patriotic nature by singing the National Anthem for her school's championship football team as well as other sporting events that take place. This year Meaghan was invited to open the floor at the Maine State House by singing the National Anthem and has been invited to return. Meaghan has donated her time and talent for local fund raisers and has also traveled to nursing homes and the dialysis unit where her grandfather is cared for and entertains the patients. When not singing (and sometimes while singing!) Meaghan can be found at the barn spending time with her two horses Camry and Charlie. She supports many horse related oraganizations. Meaghan lives with her two younger sisters, two very proud parents, two even more proud grandparents, 2 cats, 1 dog, 4 guinea pigs and more fish than she can handle. |
