- The Annual Dexter Firemen's Auction will take place Thursday, August 2nd through Saturday, August 4th. The auction held in conjunction with the Dexter Wild West Celebration, will take place from 6 to 9 pm on Thursday and Friday and from 6:00 pm to sell-out on Saturday. The auction is held at the parking lot of the Watering Hole, the old Dexter Shoe Building located on Water Street in Dexter.
There will be many new items from local stores, TVs, tables, lamps, sporting equipment, bicycles, appliances, hundreds of other items. Also a 50/50 Raffle nightly.
To arrange pick up of your auction donations, contact Steve at 924-3223 or Everett at 277-5903.
- The Dexter Fire Department will be serving food at the auction all three evenings.

- 10 am - Dexter Health Care: Ride-In all horse and riders, wagons, etc are welcome to join the wagon train. We will meet across from Tillson's Parking Lot on Grove Street at 9:30 am to 10am (right by the Police Station)
- 10 am - 8 pm - Dexter Historical Society & Museum
- 12 pm - Reddy Health Center 1st Annual Scavenger Hunt
- 1 pm - Wild West Kiddie Parade on Main Street Event
- Perkco Supply, Exeter, your local feed & supply store will be attending the Wild West Kiddie Parade on Friday afternoon. Perkco Supply will be handing out FREE Balloons (while supplies last) at the Wild West Kiddie Parade to children, on Friday afternoon at 1pm. Look for the Perkco Supply Balloons and hurry on over!!!
- After Kiddie Parade - Dragon's Den/Country Charm Stick Pony Rodeo: Open ages 3 to 6 - pig roping, barrel racing & bull riding
- 2:30 pm - Bullwhip Demonstration on Main Street by Tim Colbath
- 4:45 - Worst Boot Contest; Parade in your 'worn down, worn out, worst boots' - Winner will receive gift certificate towards a new pair of boots ($80 value) Sponsored by Brewster Inn and Noah's Landing Restaurant
